DESCRIPTION: The Downtown Belleville Square Water Main Replacement was a challenging and highly visible project within the City of Belleville. Illinois American Water (ILAW) recognized the urgency to enhance service reliability and mitigate disruptions at the heart of the Central Business District, an area bustling with heavy traffic, frequent community events, and key customers. Significant challenges arose when emergency repairs were necessary. To address these issues, Lochmueller Group, stepped in to provide design services, upgrading approximately 1,785 linear feet of existing water main from six-inch to twelve-inch diameter pipes.
